This is what it sounds like, when 1,000 people dare to breathe again,” writes the English newspaper, The Guardian, about this show: “ROTA”, by the Brazilian star choreographer, Deborah Colker.

Mozart, Schubert, Miles Davis and Chemical Brothers – the often dizzying body constellations of the show are just as multifaceted as the music – inspired by the ballet studio, as well as by sports, the circus or life on the street.

A famous climax is the already almost legendary, gigantic 1.5 tonne wheel from the second part of the show. The association with Stanley Kubrick’s “2001 – A Space Odyssey” spaceship is no coincidence: the breathtaking movement sequences of the dancers really do appear to take place in a state of cosmic weightlessness.
