Herbert Grönemeyer, Bono and other german and international artists appelad to the governments of the worldwide most powerful states.

On the occassion of the G8-summit in Heiligendamm/Germany on the 7th June 2007 the festival „DEINE STIMME GEGEN ARMUT“ („your voice against povertyW) took place in Rostock.

Themed "music & message" approx. 75.000 visitors attended the quiet and peaceful rally and demanded a more intense engagement in development policies of the industrialized countries.

Also musicians acted as ambassadors of the "P8"(Poor 8), the 8 poorest developing nations.
